Coconut-Kissed Brazilian-Style Flan
Always the star of the show, my Coconut-Kissed Brazilian-Style Flan has been a family favorite for years!
RECIPE:
Coconut-kissed Brazilian-style Flan
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
8 large eggs
2 cans condensed milk
1 cup canned coconut milk
1 cup whole milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a small saucepan or skillet, melt sugar till it turns into a deep caramel color.
Pour into bundt pan (or desired oven-proof pan); set aside.
In a blender, place remaining ingredients in the following order: eggs, condensed milk, coconut milk, whole milk and vanilla. Blend for about 10 seconds.
Pour into bundt pan (or prepared pan); bake in water bath (hot water) for 1 hour. Remove from oven and cool completely. Refrigerate for about 2-3 hours or overnight.
To unmold, place flan into a pan with hot water for about 15 minutes or till it begins to loosen and caramel has softened. Place deep serving dish over top of bundt pan and flip over carefully. Enjoy!
