About

“Taste the world as you embark on a culinary journey from the comfort of your own home.”

Lidia Haddadian, a self-taught home cook and photographer, has captivated the foodie world as she continues to create unique and mouth-watering multi-ethnic comfort food recipes. Her motto is, “Make the best with what you're given. If you're given little, use it wisely… if you're given much, use it wisely.”  She has learned over the years that the secret of a happy life does not lie in ‘what’ you have, but in ‘how’ you use it.

Born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, while growing up in an Armenian home and attending an American private school (K-12), Lidia’s multi-ethnic upbringing has shaped her worldview and cooking style. Her passion for food was awakened early on as she vividly remembers the exquisite aromas escaping Dona Maria’s kitchen as she walked by the school cafeteria.

Married to the love of her life for 33 years and having raised four children, Lidia’s journey as a self-taught home cook is always filled with exciting culinary adventures.  She has traveled near and far competing in a variety of food competitions such as the Pillsbury Bake-Off, Bud & Burgers,  World Food Championships and the Food Network’s show Cooks vs Cons. With over 45 contest wins, Lidia continues to strive for excellence.

In her Ethnic Table blog, Lidia shares her tried and true multi-ethnic comfort food recipes. Her food is filled with exotic flavors as she implements ethnic spices and herbs from around the globe.  Her ‘Ethnic Table’ represents her culinary worldview:  “Food brings family, friends, communities, and varying cultures and backgrounds together.  It’s all about a table filled with diverse yet complementing colors, flavors and textures, with the ultimate goal of creating a relaxing and satisfying experience. “
